Would you split up Pakistan?

I just want to know peoples opinions about if Pakistan was to split into the 5 different countrys regions proposed, how would you feel about it, I see a lot of people claiming that it is run by the ‘Punjabistani’ government instead, and it doesn’t house minorities or ensure their rights, people like Baloch, KP, Sindh, Kashmir etc.

Whats your opinion, personally I just wished we all didn’t have these caste pride things anyways.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

i believe most [99% or even higher] Pakistanis would never ever accept any further divisions of Pakistan. i’m sure that’s the most prudent thing to do…NOT to opt for further divisions of the country.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

I dont think this will happen, better if all people living in Pakistan are treated equitably

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

Imran Hossein had predicted Pakistan would be broken down into various territories. Scary thought. :frowning:

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

Well let’s pray that the rich elite and the religious elite, and the religious nuttery all figure out that they are driving the country apart and learn how to bring people together, instead of pitting minorities against each other and instead of giving unjust and undue advantage to one province over others or one race over others.

Maybe we can start by quitting this practice of restricting marriages to our own small community or we can start by hiring people that are not from our ethnic background.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

Division won’t solve any problem. For instance if you separate Sindh, the small waderas will start shouting that they are minority and mistreated by bigger waderas. Deros and Shoros will keep fighting and demand further division until they all rule a small peace of land with no one to report to upstairs. Its just like first the muslims had problem with indians and demanded autonomy, and now from that muslim land the pakhtuuns, sindhis, punjabis and balochis demand autonomy, it will never stop this way. Majority of countries I think have a similar situation including China, and India with small separation movements.
Like it or not I think deep down in our core we all are racists, no matter how hard we try to change we will always have a soft side for people from the same region/community as us. But obviously looking out for our own is considered a good thing, and therefore the preference in job openings and marriages.
I have a suggestion though. If we all support racial harmony and want to live in a world where we treat everyone equally irrespective of their zaat, I suggest moderators to remove the zaat field and discourage those who demand this info from the following thread http://www.paklinks.com/gs/wedding/444396-find-a-match-gs-zaroorat-e-rishta.html?highlight=rishta put your money where your mouth is.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

The Misbah region
The Afridi region

Got to do it.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

Banana splits is nothing compared to Rooh Afza. Favourite drink of many celebrities of many regions.

Let me tag you in another thread or i will have nightmares that i am going to get warning points for being off topic.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

Musharaf, Zardari, Benazir were hardly Punjabis were they? That whole notion is absurd. Those three despite being non-Punjabis hardly did anything for minorities themselves.

Every Pakistani is suffering today regardless of ‘race’. A poor cycle wala in Punjab struggling to feed his bachay and biwi admist the torrent of the criminal and corrupt culture is hardly doing any better than a Balochi or Sindhi.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

A wet dream

Anyhow… Let’s say, if Sindhu desh becomes an independent “country”, what will happen when the inevitable muhajir-sindhi riots will occur? What about Sindhi Hindus vs. Sindhi muslims?
If Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will become part of this “Loy Afghanistan” that many Afghans dream about at night, you think Hazara will be jumping to join Afghaniland?
Balochistan is not inhabited by just the Baloch. What is going to happen to the Hazarawals and Pashtuns once BLA/BRA and co. get their Azad Balochistan?
Then, Punjab. It defo is going to be Seraikistan vs Potoharistan vs Lahore and the rest of Punjab.
Maybe Gilgit-Baltistan will succeed to stay together. :hehe:

I am not trying to be Zaid Hamid, but I do not believe in a Pakistan that will break up into smaller “countries”. I would say, most Pakis know and realise that they are connected and dependent on each other, even if some of them hate to admit it. Maybe, this is what keeps Pakistan together. :smokin:

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

I wouldn’t want further division of the country but if Punjab is not broken down into smaller provinces, I could see Pakistan breaking into smaller countries.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

**No my friend we already split Pakistan from Hindustan which the British named India. also remember that Hindustan was one country and ruled by Muslims!

so in essence Hindustan a Muslim ruled Country was split in two because of Religious differences, and then Pakistan was split in two because of language differences.

guess how many languages are spoken in today’s India?**

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

As an Indian, to whom this issue hardly matters, One pakistan is enough what is world supposed to do with 5 more countries?

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

Why Punjab per se? We don’t need more provinces.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

Now this is one of the best History lesson ever.

Dhanya ho guru, charan kahan hain aapke

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

As a Pakistani, let me answer your question. Let’s say… If tomorrow India would cease to exist and instead we would have “countries” such as Khalistan, Assam, Nagiland et cetera… Pakistan would finally have just one border to worry about, instead of two. :halo:

Hmmm, I did not really answer your question eh.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

It clearly mattered enough for you to comment.

Re: Would you split up Pakistan?

No, it will be three, Jammu, Khalistan, Rajasthan
and I didn’t ask any question, did I??

Yes, that is why I wrote “hardly”
