This Question is mainly directed for kids in USA, UK.
Would you send your kids to India for higher education. There is a growing trend among Indians in USA to send their kids to India after Grade 12 to do
Medical etc.
Advantages are it is much cheaper, much faster to get a medical degree and is recognised in US (at least New York state).
Some of the colleges are Kasturba Medical College in Manipal and colleges in Mumbai and Bangalore. These colleges are actively recruiting in US with seminars in major US cities.
Re: Would you send your kid to India for higher education?
I'm in Medicine and I have met quite a FEW (and thats an understatement) people who send their kids to India and Pakistan. Apparently, India has a branch of AUA as well- that's where a good number have been to. From Pakistan, I have heard of people who went to King Edward and Agha Khan.
I don't think faster is that much of a concern (since it takes 5 years after HS, and then they take an average of 2 years to take their US/UK exams too) but is definately cheaper.
