Recently, 3 astronauts came back from the International Space Station mission. They stayed their for 6 months. 2 guys and 1 lady. I always wonder that what happens to their sexual appetite. I mean even prisoners get the conjugal visits (or they keep dropping the soap in shower rooms :D) so its childish to assume that NASA ignores that need of a normal human. Its been taken care of somehow.
Having said that, would you allow your spouse to go on such mission for 6-12 months with an astronaut of opposite gender.
Keep in mind that him or her becoming an astronaut would be a real honor otherwise for the whole family.

maybe the urge is diminished when you are so high above the earths atmosphere! you dont feel earthly pleasures on the moon! Moonly pleasures are different!

Nah, not insecurity. It would be out of pure love and desire to save my husband from a boring trip :D Tehe.
That is like once in a billion chance of someone to become an astronaut. You called that boring trip? People are buying seats and paying up to few hundred thousand dollars to book a seat in private space filghts that are starting in few years.

Well maybe that is why they take food tablets and not pulao biryani so they dont have to go to the bathroom
Did you watch Ironman2 where he was in his iron suit saying that people ask me how do I go to the bathroom in this suit, and then he makes this face (like we do when we are peeing) and said, that is how I do that
