I don’t think I have it in me to fight a war. I’d rather stay back and be supportive to help those left behind.

No!

I’m a hardcore pacifist. I passiontely oppose war and any kind of violence. I am all for peace even if it comes through Machiavellian diplomacy.

Besides these countries spend billions of dollars in defence, shame on them if they need me to fight for them.

But I won’t hesitate to offer my services to deal with humanitarian crises.

I think you’d make a great diplomat. I like your analysis of political events and policies. I also find you very articulate as well.

what if the country of residence is fighting the country of your birth, how do you choose which country? how do we know if a war is worth fighting?

If I wanted to fight I would have joined the army in any case. They should do their job and we should do ours.

And our job is to ensure there are wars. For the ones bearing the brunt would be the foot soldiers in the frontlines.

only if your country had a volunteer army…in case of a serious war, your country may bring in ‘draft’ then you got no choice. you have to fight…right?

War no war, I almost joined Army as a second lieutenant but my family threw fits so I bailed. It would have been a nice way to pay off student loans

I will fight for peace and against war with you Uncle. Together we will stand on the Wagah border with signs saying “Pyar banao nafrat nahi” and if in this atmosphere of gunfire and explosions that ww3 will bring we are caught in the midst of a bullet fired by another GS member from the other side or someone from this side of border and we succumb to our fate. Then i will say it is a sweet way to go. Of course in the background a song such as this would play. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1snePqBqcnk^ok this is a dramatic scenario unlikely to happen.
