it's lust at first sight, true love can only happen after you understand the person's personality, caring respectful ways. love, I think, has to do with all these things that have nothing to do with looks. looks fade and then you're just left with these other qualities, lust is all about the superficial.....

i dont know about love at first sight, but if the person is so unattractive the first time, I wouldnt want to see/meet them again to find out their personality

What if my eyes fell on him when he was helping a stranger in distress? Possible.
But generally, NO, I would not. Neither would I fall in love at first sight with the most dashing hunk God has ever sculpted. Believe it or not, both NOs are equal in magnitude for me. :)
However, the 'process' of falling in love does start with looks in most cases, including mine. And the 'event' of fallling in love does not exist for me.

....met too many good looking jerks though so there's a moment of attraction to his good looks but that ends when that one mean good looking guy starts talking like a chauvinistic selfish pig
not all good looking guys are like this of course don't want to generalize
Love usually doesnt happen at first sight. It may be infatuation or a slight crush but rarely is it love.
Good looks are relative...:)

The first time I saw my daughter's father the first thing that came to my mind was "oh what a cute guy" and thats it ! I did not have any desire to marry him but I don't know it was a qabooliyat ki ghari or what I ended up marrying him.
The first sight stuff can be deadly & destructive I tell you !

I probably wouldn't as something about the person would need to catch my attention and first time it would completely be physical attraction.

Yes, beauty may be in the eye of beholder, but, still definition of both beauty and not-so-beauty may be rather commonly shared among people.
By definition, physical beauty is based mainly on balance in the features. Unbalanced features are hardly considered beautiful.
