I am not talking about a non-designer outfit.
I am talking Umar Sayeed or HSY Couture or something extravagant.
Would you rent your wedding outfit?

Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
sure if it wasn't insanely expensive, why not.
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
I don't think I would. Designer or not I want my wedding outfit to be only mine.
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?

Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?

Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?

Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
noooooooo
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
I'd like to keep my own lengha :) no rentings for me!
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
Interesting
I haven’t yet developed a bond with my future wedding lehenga so I can see myself renting it. My sister bought hers and its now sitting in the cupboard and its probably going to stay there until she sells it for like half the price or something. Err what’s the point?
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
guys can we get a designer lehnga on rent ? like sana safinaz or omer sayeed ? please reply if anybody know about it ?
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
I would love to rent a lehenga, but I don't know of any places that you can.

I dont think there are places like shops u can rent lehngas from .. but iv heard of places where guys rent suits n stuff .. so there might be a possibility that places like those exist .. spread the word around maybe some ol dulhania wudnt mind sharing it would you?
however ... if i were u ... dont get into it ... only the elite brides spend money on an expensive 5-7 lakhs umer sayeed or bunto or whoever and i dont think theyd be interested in renting it .. and i dont think people would find it a profitable biz if they were to buy an umer sayeed to rent it out ..
get a customized copy made in cheap or DIY - although i dont liek the copy stuff either but its so much better than renting one out ..

I'm not into heavily embroidered stuff.
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
I would but I am thinking of making a suit out of it after the wedding (like my cousins did), and so probably buy (But I have no qualms about renting it).
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
I remember reading once on Gs about someone in whose family they would giveaway the wedding dress as charity after the wedding day.I don’t remember who it was ![]()
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
Yes, I definately would've rented a designer outfit if that was an option (assuming I found one that I liked).
My wedding bridal will be turned into a very heavy formal. The kameez is long and I got a matching plan churidaar made for it. Of course with the kameez and dupatta being so heavy, I can only wear it to weddings of my siblings OR weddings of the few super rich people I know.
At the end....the amount I paid for my bridal, I could've gotten at least 3-4 different semi-heavy formals for that price. So yea.....I wish renting something of good quality/design was an option when it comes to desi bridals.
And with so many different people copying outfits these days.....the idea of someone else having a bridal similar to mine or even the exact same one doesn't bother me. It's not only the outfit that makes the bride. The hair/MU/jewelry/bride's height&weight.....and even the way she carries it makes a big difference.
Re: Would you ever rent a designer lehnga?
I personaly wouldn't rent my wedding lengha, its a centimental item that i'd keep and show my children and grand children and if my daughter or grandaughter wanted to wear it i'd be more than happy for them to have it.
I wish my mum had kept here wedding dress so that I could have worn it.
