Let’s say you are marrying someone who comes from a slightly different culture/religious background than you. For example, lets say you married into a Hindu family, so your future in-laws are Hindu, but your husband-to-be is Muslim. Now the thing is, your husband-to-be is insisting on having a Hindu wedding with his family, and a Muslim wedding with your family.
Let’s say the parents know you are muslim, but dont know he is muslim, and therefore the parents are insisting on the Hindu wedding. Would you go ahead and participate in the Hindu wedding (as long as you didnt have to say anything religiously conflicting)? Or do you think its wrong to do so?
Let’s also say that the parents know that both of you are muslim, but they are insisting on the Hindu wedding, and so is your husband-to-be. Would you go ahead and participate in it?
I was faced with this...he was Hindu..who had become christian on the quiet...so he asked me if I would do a hindu wedding as well just to make his folks happy.
I agreed..coz it's just a ceremony...wear a different dress...and walk around a flame with your husband, if it holds a holy meaning to someone I wouldn't be against it at all.

Huh you got married, and I wasn't invited. Someone take the knife out of my back.
