~! Would you consider this healthy?

After my workout in the morning (which is pretty intense) atleast 2 1/2 hours, I chug down a glass of banana milkshake with toast (and honey).

Is that unhealthy to do after your workout? Somebody told me if you want mass, you can eat a breakfast like that.

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

If u want mass u need to take more and more proteins. All u take is very low in protein, its all carbs.

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

after all the calories u burn in 2 and a half hour  That kinda food is acceptable… and MAss?? :konfused: Dont alwasy believe what ppl say :smack:

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

first meal in the morning can be heavy, its alright..it does'nt make you gain fat.but if you eat a high fat meal in dinner it can make you gain fat.banana milkshake is mostly carbs and fat which is important too,but you need to try something else for more protein to add mass.

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

Go to GNC, and get a protein shake, drink it every day. :)

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

Crescent “beta”…why make a thread about this? You know who to come to when u need adivce on matters like this :halo:

NO!! you dont chug a glass of banana milkshake to increase mass :smilestar: who in the hell told u such bologna? (im hoping the person who told u this doesnt read this post)

If you want mass…you need to increase your protein. Carbs will give you energy it wont increase muscle mass.

You can however add protein powder to this shake. Keep in mind though you need to eat FOODs rich in protein…not just drink shakes. Shakes are good for supplementation.

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

that is quite an expensive habit to get into. Ready made shakes are way to expensive. It's ok if you are drinking it once a day...but to increase mass you need to drink lots of it.

Best thing to do is go to GNC buy that huge container of protein powder and make a whole days worth of protein shakes everyday. (perhaps one shake in b/w every meal)

Once again...best thing to do is eat foods rich in Protein and supplement with the shakes...dont let it replace a meal......be sure to include all your other major food groups in your diet as well.

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

haahahahahahah .. umair.. yar dont worry about healthy/unhealthy.. if u want mass, eat anything, and everything.. minus the oils and fried stuff :-)

aur idhar jo bhi aankhain aur gala phar raha hay, wouldnt know second thing about male's bodies, muscle wear-tear and healing.. (first thing sab ko pata hoti hay.. ungli kata kar shaheedon main shaamil honay ki)

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

WTH....a 2 1/2 hr workout... what is it you do?

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

I used to burn 450-650 calories and work out for over an hour everyday..way back when.. :(. :frowning:
Those were hte days.. :crying:

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

i have read and heard it from this aerobics instructor that eating a go0d and healthy meal right after workout, no saturates fats though, is actually go0d for you because it doesn;t turn into fat but metabolizes into nutrients and is used up by the body....so keep gulping down nice and healthy drinks and fo0d after work-outs...there is no harm!

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

chug down a whey protein shake before the workout. After the workout eat some lean meat like chicken breast with rice or pasta and some whole grain. A glass of bananashake and toast with honey isnt doing anything for you. You could add two scoops of whey protein to that shake.. thereby getting protein and the carbs that you need.

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

exactly....there is no need to work out 2.5 hrs....it doesnt make u any stonger or bigger...it just tires u out.

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

2.5 involves a 45 workout video (SHUTUP), and cardio (skipping for atleast 20), then doing the elliptical (15), then work on arms and legs and what not. I mean i don't lose energy that fast, plus take away break time, so its kinda more around 1:45-50.

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?

^ Skipping? Come again?

Re: ~! Would you consider this healthy?
