If you were to change your name, would that change your identity? Would that make you a different person? Would your individuality be any different than it was before?
Re: Would you be a different....
i think so that ,definitely it will
Re: Would you be a different....
I doubt if my name were different it will change my personality.
i think so that ,definitely it will
Seriously, how so?
most probably it would not
Re: Would you be a different....
I am referred to by 2 first names. I feel like a different person when either of my names are used. Somehow instinctivley, I go into a mode befitting the name being used. Dont quite know how to explain that. Its very subtle though no jekyll and hyde stuff.
Re: Would you be a different....

Goog question Dr., I have evolved as my name. A whileback I was not called with this name but Wiseman suits me and thats who I am. :)
As for you are talking about my real name is concerned, I don't care whatsoever. Thanks.
Re: Would you be a different…
Names definately hav an effect on ur personality, it definately influences everything u do and say, so i think a different name would definately determine a different u, even if its just slightly, but it would… ![]()
Re: Would you be a different....
I donot think so - i would be the same
Really??
When my ammi janee is mad at me she changes Hina to “HEEEEEEEEEEEEENNYYY PEEEEEEEEEENYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY”;
Or at times she calls me her jandra kunjii (dill kee chabii)…
These names don’t define me at all the times. Although, you can argue them being nicknames…But thats just like associating a variable to a string…
I remember when my brother was younger, his name was Laeeq after my father's brother who died in infancy. He was always sick and my mom was always worried. Someone advised us to change his name, and we didn't really believe it, but we were willing to try anything. We changed his name. He lost his eczema and asthma soon afterwards...it could be just coincidence of timing, but many ppl saw it as evidence of a name having an effect.
I want to have a middle name, because my first name loses its charm and meaning in English.
