Hmmm I was kind of in similar situation but my mom starting giving her views when it was just 2 weeks to my wedding. She never gave me tanay because it was an arranged marriage.

I would sit down with my mom and have a heart to heart about it. Ask about her concerns and try to understand them. Then reply to them either based on objective knowledge about the guy or you, or different perspectives that you may hold.

I would give my mom’s reasons a serious thought. I would try to solve any real issues. But if it’s just a matter of perspective, it is JUST a matter of perspective. I will, in the end, do what will make me happy. I will be the one living with that decision, so I have to make sure I am happy with it.
