I was talking to a friend of mine who is an atheist. He believes that religion is the cause for most of the evil things that happen in this world today. I am beginning to agree with him.
Religion was required at one point in time since most of the people were barbaric and it was law that Might is right. Nowadays people respect law and do not need the fear of eternal punishment to be good. If you look at the current situation, if religion is taken out of the equation the world would be a better place.

That said I think mankind will find different excuses to be violent towards each other. or is religion just an excuse to grab oil..

Religion has nothing to do with it.

It’s all about money and power. And the fact that human beings are naturally tribal and discriminatory.

A society full of white people? Hate the gingers. A society of browns? Introduce a caste system.
