any issue related to personal hygiene affects the physician relationship in marriage. Heath issues aside, smoking makes your mouth, clothes, fingers and hair smell bad.

YES!

I can't believe non-smokers even marry smokers. Cig smoke permeates everything, clothes, body, breath, hair, food, shoes, purse, wallet, car, house, everything!

Yes, it would be a problem in my marriage.

A hamburger may clog your arteries, but at least you get some nutritional value from. You don't get that from smoking. Someone smoking in front of you.....not only doesn't care about their own health....but has no regard/respect for how their addiction will impact your health. I doubt many people like the smell of smoke or the idea of kissing an ashtray. And family also has to deal with various consequences (health, psychological/emotional, financial) of this habit. There are more cons than pros.

Since people here have no problems generalizing, i.e. they even go ahead and make judgments about people's characters based on how good they look, I can safely say that smoking is an indication of instability, impatience and a total lack of willpower in one's character (IMO). It's outright disgusting too.
