Going through the thread http://www.paklinks.com/gs/life-and-relationships/590162-if-you-arent-invited-to-a-friends-wedding.html , i just started thinking that, would it affect your relationship/friendship with a person if he/she doesn’t invite you to their wedding? Or would you be just all okay with it & continue the friendship as it has been or would you just back off with the friendship?

Honestly I think it is a big deal for me if I am not invited to a friend's wedding. But is it going to affect our relationship - not really. If they haven't invited me, I'd assume there must be some genuine reason.

Getting married is a major milestone in life. I wouldn't be too bothered if it was a friend whom I hardly get to see or keep in touch with but if I wasn't invited to a close friend's wedding then this would cause hurt naturally and a bit of a strain in our friendship. I'd show maturity and send a congratulations card etc and later I'd talk to the friend about it. Clear up any misunderstandings etc.
My MIL wasn't invited to her friend's son wedding - simply because her friend forgot to send her an invitation card! It happens! This friend came round apologizing with flowers and tears and MashaAllah their friendship held and they are still it touch. Sometimes small misunderstandings happen and we have to forgive and move on positively.

Another thing to consider is that with desi weddings it's usually the parents who have the LAST say in who does or doesn't get invited..
I remember my brother being really upset that some of his friends couldn't come as there were so many aunties + uncles that 'had' to be invited (according to my mum).. even if they weren't that close to us..
