In Islam there is a concept of other beings (Makhlooqs) so I don’t think in Islam it would change much.

Now if these aliens happened to be smarter than the human beings then it would put questions to a lot of things because technically us human beings are “Ashraf ul Makhlooqat” so from what I understand there aren’t supposed to be other beings smarter than humans.

Yeah we don’t always use our brain for the right things is another story.

I highly doubt we are the most intelligent beings in the universe. Ashraf-ul-makhlooqat could have a million interpretations. It could simply mean that humans are the dearest creation to God but we don’t know in what way.
