Would consider marrying someone who is Shia Muslim when you are Sunni Muslim or vice versa? Would that create problem/s between a couple later on?
no and never.... since shias follow islam in a different way so obviously they have their own beliefs and practices.

I think it works fine for the guy and girl, but in our culture, marriage is deeply rooted in a family system. If your family is religious (Sunni/Shia) they won't be able to marry within the opposite sect. Just because it brings too many problems/odd situations. What would you raise your kids as? I know a lot of Shia's don't even name their kids Umar/Usman/Aisha etc bcos they don't have the same level of respect for them that a Sunni would. So i mean, it depends on how religious you are mainly. Family (parents siblings cousins etc) plays a huge role, that's why i think a desi can marry someone of another sect and be fine with it cos they kind of work their problems through within themselves. A desi family involves everyone, cos I guess that's just how it is culturally, so it also brings more problems.
