Mostly depends on how religious you and him are.. Also what sort of Shia that person is, I think there are differences within Shiism in regards to what they believe, how they pray etc..
A lot of (mainly Sunni) imams believe Sunni/Shia marriage isn’t even valid but then some are ok with it.. I know a Shia girl married to a Christian guy so it all depends on your individual situation, how practising you are (if at all) and so on.. My brother used to want to marry a Shia Iranian girl and my mum was fine with it even tho she’s very religiously conservative.. We know a few Sunni (desi) girls married to Shia (non-desi) men and they seem to be getting on fine as well.. I would do it if there weren’t major practical differences..
