In this case the guy and girl don’t know each other just the girl finds him attractive and would like to get to know him.
Also what if the situation was reversed, does that ever work?

Although I know of a couple of girls who received messages from guys on Facebook and started chatting to them…anyway 3 months down the line, one of them that was engaged set to be married. Now she has had 2 kids. So it does work.

So how does it work? You just type whatever girl name you like in search bar and check out their display pic and if they are pretty you send them message that you want to marry? Sounds so cool

Yeah so if a girl were to find a guys Instagram page which was public and then perhaps either followed him or liked a couple of pics to see if he would react. If you were in that guys position would you take note of her initial approach and then try to follow it up if you were interested.

LOL as a I girl I would find that creepy, but then it also depends on the guy, his profile and pic. If the guy doesn’t seem like a weirdo and has friends and all and doesn’t look like a loner then I guess it wouldn’t be bad.

I guess I should have been clearer with how the guy/girl would find the other person. Perhaps that girl/guy was stalking a friend on FB then got to another friends profile and saw a guy/girl he/she liked. So a friend of a friend’s friend.
Nowadays it is even easier to find someone on Instagram, where you end up seeing pics of people you don’t follow or know and sometimes neither do your friends follow but because of the type of pics you liked their pics end up on the popular/someone you may like page.

It all depends on what she looks like and if she seems normal, I would be pretty suspicious cause there are a lot of fake accounts on the internet, especially of men pretending to be girls, so I would ask her to come on skype first just to verify if she’s real

Hahah of course, but sometimes you can tell that the person is real. I’m sure even the girl would be cautious about the guy, but sometimes you can tell that it really is them, especially because they’ve been tagged in photos by other people, the people commenting on their stuff is consistent amongst all social platforms.

I would also be pretty cautious of being approached by a girl on instagram, cause a lot of girls look really different IRL than on instagram

LOL fairplay, though some girls have quite a few natural pics as well so you can tell what they look like normally.
Ok so lets say if everything else seems legit and both people are the real deal, would you be open to having a serious relationship with them (that would lead to marriage) despite the girl finding you online. Would that be totally acceptable to you, especially if they ticked all your boxes.

Thats a very subjective question. Every person has their own way of reacting to anything.
If you are talking about me, then yes, I would notice. Not because its a girl but because my instagram is a deadgrave, there is almost nothing and perhaps few number of followers. So in such a small crowd would definitely attract my attention.
That being said, I would never message her or contact her because for me she is just another person … Thats one really bad thing in me when it comes to relationships that I try to assume that the next person (girl) doesn’t put emphasis on her gender over her personality. I would even notice even if a guy starts to follow me. wouldn’t make any special difference.
I am more of a straight forward person, you like me, message me. I ain’t going to judge you.
