Worst Travelling incident

Thinking of travelling i had very bad incidents happening to me while travelling.
I want to hear from u people also if u have any incidents or experiences .
It was 1998 when i came with my parents to New York,it was one night stay and we have next day flight to CAnada. The only problem was that me and my little sister were in another flight and mom and dad were in different one.Parents were suppose to land earlier and they were on JFK waiting for us. When i came to JFK airport and they start asking me some questions, damn my dad forgot to give us the hotel name.SO the lady asked us that where are u going? I told her i am going to Canada and i am staying here only for one night. She asked ok so can u give me ur hotel room confirmation and i said my dad has it ,he is waiting for me outside. She stared at me and said u can go to that room behind and then we’ll see from their.:bummer: And i went to that room and their were one big KALLO aunty in uniform and one more lady. She said we cannot let u out alone in this big city u will be lost:bummer:Girls like u often come here and never go back, I told them my dad is outside go and ask him about me.The lady went and said i don’t see anyone there,I give her the flight number and everyting and she was not satisfied:grumpy: .She keeps asking me questions (i was on visit visa on those days because we only came to USA for vacation) Anyways their was a guy who came after me in this room just to look arund what was going. He was a nice person i told him and give him my dad’s name and asked him to go out and ask if someone is waiting out there. He went there and came in told that kallo maaii ke i am telling truth and she let me go .The guy was FBI and was on vacation and was coming from WASHINGTON. But atleast he was nice.
After hour and a half finally we came out to take our luggage and it was gone to another flight. So i went to claim and they said we will take care of it and it will take 3-4 days. I said ok and came out .Since all the hand bags were with me and luggage was on my ticket so no one has anything to wear in cold winter nights. Because when we left from KSA it was warm and now sever cold.
Anyways the only thing turned out good was they paid us some 400 dollars for clothing .
This is the one incident i cannot forget.

Traveling US interstate is always baaaaaaaaaaaaad.
Fortunately, I never had bad experience traveling international.

Re: Worst Travelling incident

my worst one has to be when i was going from Canada to Pakistan summer '06 in PIA 777 (the non-stop flight from Toronto to Karachi).. i wished we had a stopover so i could chill out at the airport walk around and stuff

But instead i was forced to sit with a Pakistani buddha couple who apparently had no manners of international travelling and couldn't possibly be in any other flight than PIA (my mom and sisters chose the 3-seat row a few seats ahead, because the seating arrangement is 3-3-3 in 777).

And later this illiterate lady in front of me kept bending her chair on me.. I tried to tell her not to do it but she was asleep .. I rarely slept during the 14hr nonstop flight (all the time i was in the plane) >> the only consolatory part may be that the flight wasn't that long

Re: Worst Travelling incident

  1. Don't criticize the Americans for treating you the way they did when you feel that you have the right to call an African American woman "Kallo aunty". As if that reeks of respect!

  2. Maybe you should educate yourself on details of your travel, instead of relying on daddy-jaan to take care of things. If you were not incapable of providing simple information that you should know, then don't be surprised if the authorities take some measures of precaution.

  3. They were generous enough to give you money so that you could buy proper clothing for yourself. And yet you degrade them.

Interestingly, the only disturbing part of the story is your attitude.

she was the only one not nice rest were fine and the another lady was african american too but i didn’t say her anything. And i think its better word than cursing her which usually people do.

i was choti at that time momy daddy’s girl:blush: i found it hard at that time, not now

that was a good ting but it was their fault not mine and happened manytimes.

Re: Worst Travelling incident

so where are u moving?

Re: Worst Travelling incident

Does anyone think that Pakistanis (women traveling with their kids) have no manners of international travelling? That's perhaps the only reason I hate PIA (especially when it's Canada to KHI)
