No, one of them twisted around in there while I was at Lord’s cricket ground watching the 4th day of the 2nd Pakistan-England test match in 1992.
I started to get a bit of discomfort o the journey home and it turned into agony shortly after dinner that night.
Despite the intense agony of the twisted testicle and resulting operation, I counted that as actually a pretty good day because it was the only time Pakistan won a cricket match while I was there watching
Yeah they tried to put needle down my spine 2 times and third try i gave up
they had me sign on a document if i die its not their responsibility..
but the pain that you get knowing something is being pulled out of your spine.. is so painful so painful i cant even tell you..
I gave up.. i could not take that pain
I am floored by the number of people that have, at this young age, had cortisone injections.
People, people, people!!! These are not good for you!!!! Steroids are bad!!! Very bad!!!
I hope that these injections were given in times of extreme need and not frivolously administered. (I know......when you'er in pain nothing is frivolous...but still. It better have been excruciating, I'm-gonna-die-if-you-don't-give-'em-to-me kinda pain.)
My mom used to get these shots in her knees so I know a bit about them.
hubby got his appendix taken out a few yrs ago and woke up during the procedure. Said he could feel his lymph nodes closing and he couldn't break. the idiot doctor had no clue, but finally...he seemed to figure it out and pushed them back so he could breath again.
for me - had to be getting stiches in my chin after a huge chunck of skin got scraped off when I fell on a ramp at the library.
When I was 2 yrs old, I stuck my finger in boiling water. My mom was carrying me and boiling water. Then a few years later the same finger got caught in those folding doors and a piece of skin was sliced off. They had to stich it back on.
I had my wisdom teeth taken out too. It was complicated because they were growing out completely horizontally, and the oral surgeon had to crack them to get them out.
I refused general anesthesia cuz that creeps me out. They were like, "Uh, are you sure?" In any case, they did the local anesthesia. I couldn't feel much, just the pressure of the pulls and tugs. And of course I could see the bloody tooth pieces coming out.
The bleeding and discomfort afterwards were worse than the actual surgery.
a filling in my tooth. :( like when the metal scrapes against your tooth with a zzzzzzzzing! i wanted to thrash around my legs and kick the dentist in the face......lucky for him he was cute so i was on my best behavior.
muza i use to suffer from severe migraines - they are much better now. I remember that day very well pain was so bad that doctors felt there might be bleeding in my giant head. When MRI and other scans didnt show anything they had to take the fluid out.
im one for fighitng back. when the nurse took spinal fluid out of me i punched her and then tried to stab her with the stupid injection she was trying to give me.
i dont remember spinal fluid extraction being very painful, i found it much more nicer than the blood tests. atleast after the spinal fluid my folks were really nice to me and hugs and ice cream, when all i really felt was a little pain in sitting.
aishaaaa spinal tap is where they draw spinal fluid out right. haan i think its really common especially for kids who're having fits waghaira. i had a lot of tests done during that time, blood tests everyday so i guess I got immune to it.
i still hate blood tests and refuse to get vaccinated. i'd rather take my chances with cholera or whatever.
the only surgery i have gone through so far is getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth out and Alhamdulillah it wasnt too bad. I was passed out during the procedure and afterwards, i was on percocett (sp) for about 3 days or so. I think when my friend dropped me off at my apartment after the procedure, i fell and hurt my shoulder while locking the door behind her. Dont remember much about it until i could start feeling better again and was wondering why my shoulder was sore. :D
hey whats with wisdom teeth? i mean how do u know u have them?? i used to have tooth pain now and then but now its stopped but i dont know if i ever got a wisdom tooth. never got one pulled out for sure...does it mean i havent got any wisdom teeth? am i not wise? :(
shweets, everyone has wisdom teeth but for most people they don’t “grow” out until later in life like ur 20s/30s. When they do grow out, they hurt like hell. I had gone to my dentist for a yearly checkup and she took some xrays and informed me that my wisdom teeth were at an angle and would never come up straight and hence will begin to crowd my other teeth. So she referred me to have them taken out. Mine didn’t hurt, just had them taken out cuz they were going to crowd my other teeth. Really, I could do without such wisdom
hmmm ... i hav got my tonsels operation ...........these days are a little difficult ....and may not be able to eat anything .......its painful as well
it really hurt ...especially when i take somthing for eat ...
I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled out next Friday, I only have 3 naturally..all embedded.
I was told about 10% of ppl have 3 instead of 4. I hope it equals less pain?
Seriously though, I'm scared ****less right now. I probably wont' feel much, but just the idea of a needle being stuck into my mouth is giving me sleepless nights...
Pray that it goes well plz!
Any ppl have tips on things to do to relieve the jitters, recovery, etc?
