We all know what happened to Muslims in India’s Gujarat state in 2002. Only last week they were being killed by the Indian authorities.

In india there is complete religious freedom....atleast guarenteed by law. Actions of some organizations cannot brand all hindus as fanatics.

After a similar allegation last November a Muslim mob wielding axes and sticks set fire to three churches, a dozen houses, three schools, a dispensary, a convent and two parsonages.**

The attacks were the worst on Pakistan’s Christian community since 2002, when Muslim fanatics led an assault on a church with grenades on Christmas Day. Three young girls were killed in that attack, at Chianwala, 40 miles north of Lahore.

Christian officials describe a large community of “secret Christians” made up of some government officials and prominent people who have converted to Christianity.

Niamat Ahmar very highly qualified, second headmaster (teacher) form one government High School, poet, writer was butchered with a butcher knife in the daylight, out of the government office, in the presence of lots of people, mainly Muslims. His body was cut into the pieces, the killer was speaking loudly with religious verses, slogans that he had killed a Christian blasphemer. The large crowd of Muslims were watching the brutal scene and later they garlanded the killer that he had done the noble pious work of killing a Christian. This had happened in Faisalbad, a district of Punjab.

  2. Two Christian young men were killed in Christian locality Basti kassoke, in District Hafizabad. The police did not try to investigate to find the killers. This happened in May, 1996.

  3. According to the newspaper, The Daily Jang, May 1, 1996 Edition, a Christian girl, a daughter of Tara Masih of Village No. 46, Sangla Hill was taken out of her house at gun point at midnight where she was gang raped. When the relatives tried to rescue her, they were fired upon. Tara Masih is a very poor man. The police had not done anything against the criminal because they are feudal landlords, very rich and influential.

  4. According to the News item appearing on March 17, 1996, Nawai Waqat Urdu Daily, two Christian girls along with one other Muslim girl were abducted and there is no clue of their whereabouts. It is learned that the kidnappers are very influential. The victims are very poor Christians.

  5. Rehmat Masih died by police torture while he was in their custody. This happened in Lahore in the month of April 1996.

  6. A young man Christian Rashid Masih was killed by the police in jail. Kot L’akhpat, Lahore. The police was interrogating with third class methods to get him to confess to some uncommitted crime. Due to the severe torture, he died in the jail. This happened in the month of April, 1996.

  7. Two persons Munir Masih and his oldest son, Emanuel, were killed in Narowal Punjab, but the police did nothing to find the killers. This happens in the month of April. 1996.

  8. A Christian young man, Roni Daniel, was killed by the police in a fake police encounter on March 7, 1996.

  9. Two Christian young men, Jawed Masih and Sohail Masih, were killed in Lahore by the police and other Muslim men.

  10. A Christian young man, Nawab Masih, was killed by the police during a fake investigation and torture. He was taken by CIA Police of Lahore, Pakistan and there he was killed.

The Christians of Pakistan are completely voiceless, powerless, and helpless. They cannot do anything against the brutal police and feudal landlords.

The sufferings of the Christian women are very troublesome. They go through a different kind of brutality. Under the Islamic Laws. the rights of the women folk have been eroded. Women are not equal to the men folk.
In Pakistan two women are equal to one man. Under the Islamic Evidence Act, whenever any woman is raped, and she wants a criminal case registered against the rapist, she has to produce four Muslim men as witnesses. No women or non-Muslim men or women. If any Christian woman is raped in a Christian house or school hostel, then from where can a woman produce four adult Muslim men? The evidence of the Christian, be that a man or woman, has no validity against any Muslim rapist.

Only in one city, Lahore, where the population is more than 5 million, 23 000 Christian women have been forced by the unavoidable circumstances brought on them by the legalized-socialized slavery system to clean toilets, houses, streets, lanes, and roads. 7000 Christian men then carry the human waste and filthy garbage on their heads, or on the bull carts going through the streets and store at the filth and garbage depots. In other words, one Christian must clean the filth made by 100 Muslims.

  • A Christian girl named Surryia Bibi, daughter of Salamat Masih, student of the 10th class, 17 years old resident of House No 901/ E Sector No. 3, Avenue Sir Syed Rawalpindi was kidnapped on the 16th of March, 1996 by one Muslim, Abid Hussain. The Christian girl has been made Muslim, then married to the kidnapper-rapist. The parents and other relatives of the girl have approached the police of Rawalpindi, refused to do anything because the girl is no longer a Christian but Muslim and they cannot do anything. Source: the brother of the kidnapped girl approached the office of P.C.C.C. Lahore with an application.

*. One Christian woman named Razia Bibi, (wife of Boota Masih, resident of the village No. 81. G.B Tehsil District, Faisalabad) was kidnapped at gun point on March 20, 1996 at midnight by two Muslims, Mohammed Mumtaz Taj and other man, where she was raped by those two persons.

Now you’ll tell that similar attacks on Christians have taken place in India also.
But the difference is that a small percentage of India’s Christian population is pesecuted, whereas that figure in Pakistan is very large percentage of the total population.
Remember that the head of India’s ruling party is an Italian Roman Catholic.

Dont forget that Hindus were killed in Mau just a few months ago by rampaging Muslims.

Riots broke out in the city on Thursday when groups of Hindus and Muslims clashed over prayers at a Hindu temple.

The rioting erupted in a crowded neighbourhood of Aligarh, in Uttar Pradesh after Muslims objected to the use of loudspeakers overnight by Hindus, who were celebrating the birthday of the Lord Rama.

Sate government has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of the deceased and an additional sum of Rs 2.5 lakh compensation was announced by the Centre as well.

Note that the article is careful not to mention that the killed people were Hindus so that tension doesnt flare up in the rest of the country.

Also, remember the Varanasi bomb blasts at the Hindu temple where 20 people were killed ?

Remember : 1/3 of the victims of the Gujarat riots were Hindus. These are minus those killed in the train-fire and minus those killed in police firings. The number of Hindu refugees was 40,000.

That Zakir Naik and MF Hussain also speak volumes about India’s religious freedom.
If half of India is under poverty, then the other half has the world’s 4th largest purchasing power and the fourth largest economy on PPP.

Similarly, if some Christians and Muslims are persecuted here, a far far larger number have succeeded and live freely.

Thanks for your analysis. Could you also dissect the most recent overall crime statistics for our country? We'd like to know how instances of sectarian crime compare to the overall crime in our country.

We don't need to. In Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the 'constitution gives minorities full freedom to practice their religion.

So yudi dude, after lot of googling u still could not find a single incident in which a 'hindu' has been burnt alive.

And what i have been saying thruout this thread is India's treatment of minotrities is not any better so its name shud be in this list.

  *June 2000   ***A Catholic priest, Brother George Kuzhikandum, is murdered in the grounds of his own school, near Mathura. A few days later an employee, Vijay Ekka, who is a witness, dies in suspicious circumstances in police custody**. Four Christian churches are bombed, in Andrha Pradesh, Karnataka, and Goa, injuring several people.** A Christian pastor, Rev Masih, is murdered in northern Punjab state;** the Punjab Christian Association says that this is part of a concerted campaign by Hindu militants against Christians in the area.  

  *May 2000   *Six missionaries distributing Bibles and other Christian literature are badly beaten up in Vivekanandnagar, Ahmedabad. A Christian meeting is bombed at Machlipatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh. 
  Thirty people are injured. An annual Christian convention in Maharashtra is attacked by a mob of Hindu militants,  with property burned and four people injured.

  *April 2000  * Several Christian schools are attacked in Uttar Pradesh.

"Misuse of epithets, descriptions and titles, etc. reserved for certain holy personages or places.

  1. Any person of the Qadiani group or the Lahori group (who call themselves Ahmadis or by any other name) who by words either spoken or written or by visible representation;
    a) refers to or addresses, any person other than a Caliph or companion of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) as ‘Ameerul Mumineen’, ‘Khalifat-ul -Mumineen’, ‘Khalifat-ul-Muslimeen’, 'Sahaabi’ or ‘Razi–Allah-Anho’.
    b) Refers to or addresses any person other than a wife of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) as ‘Umm-ul-Mumineen’;
    c) Refers to or addresses any person other than a member of the family (Ahle-bait) of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon Him) as Ahle-bait; or
    d) Refers to or names, or calls his place of worship as ‘Masjid’,
    Shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine.
  2. ** Frankly speaking, the above clause can also be found under the constitution of kuffar-e-Makkah, who punished poor muslims like Hadhrat Bilal, for reciting kalma. **

In my state christian missionaries operate freely....every morning switch on a local TV news channel and you will see a pastor preaching christianity with all the emotions running high. These missionaries have converted many people all particularly the economically backward sections. Go to any coastal area of tamil nadu, you will find many christians. During tsunami, they were one of the sufferers. Besides 1/4th population of kerala are christians. and what makes you think that these christians missionaries are all very innocent?......give them full freedom in your country and they will not hesitate to tell something wrong against your faith.

India has one for Christianity, and one for Islam.
