Malik Riaz, Abu Dhabi Group sign investment worth $45 billion
ABU DHABI: An agreement has been signed between Malik Riaz and Abu Dhabi group to build the tallest building in the world in Karachi.
The agreement worth $45 billion will provide employment to 2.5 million people in Pakistan.
$35 billion worth of investments will be made in Sindh, while $10 billion will be invested in Islamabad and Lahore. The agreement amounts to the largest foreign investment in Pakistan.
Apart from building the world tallest building in Pakistan’s financial hub, Sports City, International City, Media City, Educational and Medical City. Miniatures’ of the world’s seven wonders will also be built as part of this project.

See now this confuses me. That is money used to feed people, provide employment and is generally a good investment. But the guy...eh. Not sure if I am supposed to jump for joy or facepalm.

There is no concept of anti-trust regulations in Pakistan, so essentially, you could have a single person/family ruling or owning the entire country, and noone would be able to bat an eyelid. This is what happens when you have friends like Zardari to watch your back.
Let me calculate 10% of 45(or whatever the current rate is, adjusted for inflation) and get back to you.

And that project proposed timeline is 100 years?
45$ billion is quite a sum of money and no matter how much Abu Dhabi Group & MR is cash rich they can’t able to produce it. If all if fine and news is correct, KSE bound to go up 500 points tomorrow.

Hhmm I know what is your feelings but in same country he is investing this time he is giving!! Well, not a bad news tho.
This kind of guy should ideally be in jail for killing people and capturing their lands. He is using the name of defence organizations like Bahria and DHA to fool people. More than 100000 people have bought plots in a scheme (DHA Valley) in Islamabad. Even after paying all the installments they are not getting possession of the land as the society has sold more plots as compared to the land they own.

He can do it with his own , his mafia and his associates money with some sort of partnership with the group . May be this all true , May this be an election stunt ,

Well I'm sue the whole thing will take a lot of time to get off the ground, so who knows what will happen. Just interesting to think that someone is willing to put in so much capital into such a huge project given all the instability over there.
