An Indian fan wrote this in cricinfo.com’s comment section. Its bitter and Pak fans might not like it, nonetheless it shows the mirror. Glorifying a tukka team only gives false hope and more often headaches.

“Unpredictability or mercurial team is nothing but a sugar coated word for the term “Inconsistent or flashes in pan brilliance”. A word conjured up by the fans to give some “fluke” wins a sugar coating. Lets analyse…If Afridi score once in 25 innings it is called boom boom king but if a Maxwell hits a flurry of sixes he is called lucky. If Indian bowlers leak runs its called normal but if they take wickets or restrict opposition it is called getting lucky of BCCI flexing their financial muscles. If Pakistani bowlers take wickets , its talent oozing but if they leak runs its termed as just a bad day at office.If akmal score big ,it is coined as potential unleashed but if Rohit sharma scores 200 it is called flat track .Well I guess sugar coating is good if it gets you good sleep at night especially if you weak team disappointing you more often than not.”

Pakistan’s unpredictability stems mainly from their inconsistent & fragile batting (bowling has been consistently good for so many years although current pacers are okish) but you don’t score 190+ against one of the better attacks in World Cricket (purely) by luck rather than skill. Some of Umar Akmal’s shots were breathtaking. Even Manjrekar and Ganguly seemed impressed with his stroke play.
