this isn'nt military rankings by any means. Its just a list of countries with the most greatest number of active troops.

Today's wars are won with a strong AirForce and a strong Navy. Gone are the days of foot soldiers. The only group of foot soldiers who are making a strong statement these days are the Mujahideen :D

Air Forces, Navies and the latest technology make it easy to conquer your enemies even if you don’t have many soldiers.

But when it comes down to making sure they stay conquered… there’s no substitute for large numbers of boots on the grounds with guns in their hands.
