I would like to share my experience about buying tickets for the world cup. i don’t know about the other Guppi’s if they have plans to go to WI.
I first applied initailly for the tickects on line during the first phase when they were first available. after two months i was informed that they couldn’t process my credit card and declined me of any tickets. that indeed was strange as they could have e-mailed me and i could have given me a different number.
anyways during the 2nd phase of buying which ended nov 30th only first round matches tickets are available on line.rest of them,including super six,semi final and final are all sold out . mostly they are available through travel agents only. i wanted to buy super sixes matches but its hard to know whether Pakistan would be D1 or D2 and as such venues will be different. one of the agent told me that whether Pakistan beat or loose to WI,it wont matter ,Pakistan will always be D1 and as such he wanted me to buy the tickets for D1 venues. buy the way the prices are four times more then the original prices. Another agent told me that they have super sixes tickets for barbados only .$ 1700 for three tickets and air fare but on accomodation.( best tickets were for $100 originaly). those three tickets doesn’t mean they are all Pakistan matches.
So its a bit complicated to buy super six tickets,nobody knowing where the exact venues will be for Pakistan matches. frankly i don’t see Pakistan going beyond super six unless Asif is back.
i was wondering if anyone else has struggled as much as i did.
