Pakistan could be on second or third spot, who knows, we beat Australia in the World Cup and be on number spot. Cricket is a game of luck like other sports. Anything can happens.
Pakistan will definetly be at no.3 at least or coule be at no.2...if they beat india. But im sure Pakistan can still beeat Nambia, Netherlands and Zimbabve...so a place in the top 3 is almost a gaurantee!
Pakistan will pull of an upset in the first match against Australia, though Australia will still remain the dominant team and Pakistan will go on to win the League A competition.
It would be tough fight between England and India, they have shown that they are nobodys when playing on fast tracks, and England bowling has been very well for the past 18 months, I expect England to go through.
Pakistan-Australia-England
From Group B.
South Africa will be the dominant force, but the next 2 spot will also easily go to Newzeland, because of their quality of fast bowlers in the team, and Windies will claim thrid spot because of the strong batting lineup.
You people can disregard the recent ODI's against South Africa as a measuring tool. Pakistan is South Africa's bunny as South Africa is Australia's bunny. Pakistan will be in a different leaque against the teams in Pool A.
I expect Austrailia, Pakistan and India to go through. Not sure about thier positions though. Austriala is a dominant force in test cricket no doubt. bu tthey HAVE shown vulnerabilites in Oneday cricket this year. So i cant predict the outcome of this group.

Yes, I can also see Namibia beating Pakistan. Unlike the last world cup where I missed out on heavy payout by not betting on Bangladesh, on this occasion I might put a few rupees on Namibia - just like the Pakistani players :)

True, and we all know how India's weakness against minor nations, forget Bangladesh, that was one loss, lets talk about the humiliation in the hands of Kenyans not once but twice.
Its granted that losing a match once to a minor team is OK, maybe the team had an off day but twice, that is pathetic, that definatly tells you about India's chances in the WC.

How many of you seriously believe Pakistan will finish in the top three in Pool 'A' ?
I can see Pakistan finishing ahead of Namibia and Netherlands, but your guess is good as mine when comes to finishing ahead of other teams :)
The following teams are in Pool 'A' - somthing to ponder:
Australia, England, Pakistan, India, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Netherlands.

Well i really think pakistan will finish in the top three in pool 'A'. Pakistan will surely beat Namibia, England and Netherlands. The problem is Australia and India.

I wonder why you are worrying about PAK, it could be deep down in your heart you know PAK will end up in top 3 but you doubt India won't (since both of them are in the same pool). So the question should have been will india end up in top 3 of pool A or they might get a thrashing from Netherlands ahem :)
