Ahmadjee, what it means is that if you bet say on Pakistan to win the world cup and they do win the cup then you will get $6 back for every $1 you betted, that is what I think it means.
You can also look at it this way that looking at these odds Australia are favourites to win the world cup followed by South Africa and then Pakistan.

^ yah its like that... the higher the number... probably the least chances of the team winning... so they are saying if the team wins and you bet 1 buck... you get back 14...
which also means the team has 1/14 chances of winning... or something like that...i forgot...

No Ahmad bhai if they are prepared to pay you $14 for english victory, it means that they dont think england will win thats why they are tempting you to bet on them by giving you such generous odds. Bangladesh and Kenya will be around 100/1 or even more.
It means england is less favoured than pakistan.thats why you will get more money if england wins.
so if you bet on a team which has least chance you will get more money.
