Re: World Cup - Group F

He's not fit...he's had big knee problems recently...and he's not his oldself.
Re: World Cup - Group F
It was more of their mistake rather than Ronaldo’s wisdom. Guus hiddink obviuosly believe ‘pressing’ defenders rather than giving them space to shoot. But credit to ronaldo, he did the only notable thing in this match. Compare his performence with Robinho and you will see two extremes ![]()
Adriano did well too today, scoring a goal, going back to defend and starting moves with kaka.
That statement is true only if you giving credit to aussies as well. Brazilians are still off the pace but its the win that counts. We have yet to see the best of so many teams, including brazil.
Re: World Cup - Group F
oh really? the man who fumbled twice that could easily have resulted in goals with better finishes?
What a decision!!
He isnt fit but too fat to be fit. He has had two $hitty seasons with Real Madrid and isnt likely to get back to his old self.
Re: World Cup - Group F
in noooo way am i saying that ronaldo played superb…and definately robinho is more fit..and better right now. and i think robinho should start the next game. i’m just saying..that if u look at it from another angle…everytime ronaldo had the ball today..there were at least 2-3 defenders on him…and that opens up opportunities for other players.
of course australia played attacking football too instead of playing defensively..but i’m biased towards brazil :fifa:
Re: World Cup - Group F
^ Agreed. Australia will go through from this group after getting a draw against Croatia. Hats off to them for today's performance
Re: World Cup - Group F

both of these should be in the soccer mediocrity hall of fame .
Re: World Cup - Group F
once again, Hiddink showed that Dutch coaches are far superior to any other in the world.
It's a pity that Aussies were poor in their finishing, they could have won this match 6-3.
But hats off to Hiddink. To totally outsmart the Brazilians in the first half and most of the second. It was basically Brazil vs Hiddink.
Did you see how compact he played his players? It's was a masterclass in defensive football with dosed attacking. I have to admit, it was the first time I enjoyed football played by a defensive-minded team.
Although they lost, Hiddink showed he is truly the best coach in the world.
Brazil was unconvincing and I think (hope) they get knocked out in the quarter final at the utmost.
if only Hiddink had a technically bit better team to coach, such as Sweden, England, Germany: he would have made them champion in no time (he would have slaughtered the Brazilians or Argentinians)
Re: World Cup - Group F
Nice effort by the Aussies. I have to say though, Brazil looks far from invincible. The media hype and pure adoration here in the U.S. is despicable. I think my favorite quote from the announcer was "and there again we see Ronaldinho's famous child-like smile!" Here's an idea, how about you focus on the game that's being played, a-hole?
It's a joke that Ronaldo keeps starting. The second Robinho comes in is when the complexity of the game changes completely for Brazil. Not a far fetched idea that he's just being kept on until he breaks the record. Here's the thing though, he doesn't deserve the record. He's out of shape, he walks around, he fails to finish, and he's nowhere near the age that a soccer player should be to even have age as an excuse for such poor preparation. I can't wait til Brazil plays a team with the effort that Australia gave them but with a striker or two who will put them away. The idea that Brazil is a favorite in this cup deserving everyone's impartial praise is a sad joke and unfortunately common fan in the States doesn't have the knowledge to realize it yet!
Re: World Cup - Group F
there is no denying that brazil is a favorite, and extremely talented to boot...but i'm so not cheering for them to win
