...two thirds of the game gone, the score still remains 2 - 0 to Argentina, they're looking comfortable with their slique one touch passing and movement.
For all their huffing and puffing Ivory Coast don't seem to be showing much as an attacking threat this half.

I don't understand the logic behind substituting strikers for midfielders/defenders to preserve a lead. Saw it done by England, and also by Argentina. Why use such negative strategies. Don't they have enough confidence in their defense.

Wicked match. Argentina played really seriously though, they looked so mean! I think Ivory Coast could go far, they handled themselves really well.

The best match of the tournament for me. Looking forward to seeing Ivory Coast V Holland. Its a a shame that this is such a tough group and it won't be easy for Ivory Coast to qualify. I love to see them go through as the African teams provide so much flair and excitement like Cameroon in previous World cups.

I was actually more impressed by ivory coast, at least in midfield. argentina had fewer chances but they capitalized on them. ivory coast is like senegal of last world cup, fast, flowing football

As many pundits predicted Ivory Coast are the team to watch. They kept on going even when 2 goals down and didn't deserve to lose today, deserving a draw at least. Nonetheless this should give them encouragement for the next two games. The clash with Holland is a potential goal fest.

Leaving both Tevez and Messi on the bench was crazy. What the hell does Saviola offer that Tevez doesn't??
IC was good but Argentina showed stronger character, experience. They faltered a bit the last 20 minutes but still controlled the game for the most part.
Damn shame that IC might not make it out of this group. Meanwhile, France and Spain can cruise and still make it out of their respective groups.

ok, the way is open for Holland to top the group.
they will beat S&M today. Ivory Coast can be beaten on the counter, esp with flank players like Robben en Van Persie.
Argentina didn't impress me yesterday: they played very slow and it helped them that Ic didn't pressurize them throughout the match. Against a team like holland who apply pressure even with their forwards to get the ball back, Argentina's midfield will suffer. apart from Riquelme -who is bound to choke sooner or later- the others are just mediocre: Cambiasso, Mascherano, Maxi. So I think Holland has a good chance of topping this group
