Germany had so many chances to score, but did not convert, were a bit unlucky as well, but poles played too defensively in the second half hoping for draw, had they been bit more attacking, one wonders they cud have avoided elimination.

Germany lacks a world class striker and it showed. They had plenty of chances to kill the game but couldn't convert. Only when Poland were down to 10 men did Germany start making something of the possesion. Otherwise I wasn't impressed.

Feel bad for Poland, this almost spells the end of their campaign.

Did we really see the same match?? Poland was supposed to win this one in order to advance. And what did they show? Nothing, to be fair.

The Germans haven’t been only the better soccer-players, they even out-hustled them all over the place. The Polish had no real oppotunity in the entire game. And here are still some (Polish, I guess) homers telling us they have been a contender - erm, for what exactly? And that they have been doing well in the first leg - really?? I wonder why…

I like this German team. (Talha must be really happy reading this:p) They play with flair and style. I guess Klinsmann has to be accredited for this change of approach. I wont say that they are ready to win the cup but at least they are not boring anymore.

Thank God pathetic poles are almost out of the cup.

So that means Poland and Costa Rica out. Ecuador and Germany are through from Group A with Ecuador standing first and Germany 2nd in that group.

^..so far... it would be interesting to see these two battle it out for 1st place. Just reading the score lines (Germany 4-2 and 1-0 ...Ecuador 3-0 and 2-0) Ecuador look like favourites!

^ germany had almost half a dozen clear chances of goal yesterday. They would have atleast won by 4-0 against poland. somehow luck was not favouring them. :). But it will interesting to see germany come up agianst equador.
