Lahm played excellently. I had completely written off Deutche land. They were pathetic in europa cup and even in the matches leading to the world cup.
One good thing about this game was that germany was attacking unlike their usual self of crappy defensive play. They loosed a bit in the back and allowed costa rica two goals. Their offside trap was not working.

just saw the reply of first goal against germany and although he was left open by the defense, it wasnt all that “na ruknay wali shot”. kher i wasnt the one facing it

I watched last year’s confedration’s cup where Germany was beaten by Brazil in the semis. Klinsman has definately brought flair in the german team but defence is too loose. Thank God they are somewhat attractive to watch now rather than boring.
5abi-- Yeah it passed his knee but it was more down in the late way he advanced to rach the striker. Maybe he could have done better in that sense.

The good thing for german soccer or even field hockey team is that if they dont do well in the cup, there is always the diving team in summer olympics.

It wasnt jsut Poland’s night. They hit the post thrice in last ten minutes. Early elimination again for Poles it seems. Unless they beat Germans.

Ecuador didn't play magnificent, but won 2-0. Poland were unlucky, but they couldn't take advantage of their chances! Poland is on their way out of this world cup.

what do u guys say about the ball?? do u think its behaving a little weirdly. i don't know how to put it exactly, but to me it seems its elevating a little extra and moving through the air pretty quick too.

^ Some goal keepers have voiced their concerns about this ball as it is a bit light and swirls a lot in the air. So yes it is a matter of debate amongst players and fans alike. Although organizers ko bhi kuch pata hee hai, soch ker hee rakhi hai.
