I have never liked Germans because they have been traditionally very boring but this formidable German team is entertaining, attacking and really attractive to watch under their new manager klinsmann. I like it and would love to see a breathtaking encounter between Arg and Ger.
First things first, sweden will go out at the hands of ballack and co.

This has an exciting match written all over it. Germany with a somewhat shakey/untested defense, but excellent attacking. Sweden having difficulty scoring, but providing very solid defense.
Sweden has limped into this match, backwards, unconvincingly, against dodgy competition. Drawing against first-timers Trinidad and Tobago, squeaking out a slim victory against Paraguay in the 88th minute, and then only managing a draw against a piss poor excuse for an England team, and even that after coming from behind twice.
They probably have Germany right where they want them. Sweden just might surprise Germany by throwing a blanket over them and boring them to sleep. (You know, the kind of thing that Germany is usually accused of.) I don't expect Sweden to even be close in this game, but if they are, that's how they'll do it. The only way Sweden will win this is 0-0 AET, and then on penalties.
Germany's only worry for this game should be overconfidence. It should be 2-nil by the 36th minute, then bar the door, or capitalize on the counter for a 3-1 victory, although the possibility is there for a 6-0 win.(but I don't expect that) Germany will get enough to win, and then spend the second half practicing defence, in preparation for the later rounds. (and believe me, they'll need it for Argentina.)
