Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Wait till murli comes on to bowl

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

In between Cricinfo. says --

Srini is fuming. "Mahela Jayawardene is being far too polite - some of that Sri Lankan hospitality. What makes Graeme Smith so special that he gets to take a drinks break every three overs!? Yes, he cramped up in the last match, but does that warrant him get special treatment? If this keeps on, South Africa should be penalized some overs, because this is ridiculous. "

Even Nasser Hussain has talked about it on air.

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

67/1 after 13 overs

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Africa ka koi out hi nahi ho raha hai...

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Smith hits first SIX of this match and the ground.

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Langeveldt was lucky today... :D

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Surprising… why Jayawerdene has not brought Murali early on to try break the partnership:grumpy:

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

I think its time for Murali to enter and strike...

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

..and Lo!

He brought Malinga instead and got hit two boundaries back to back...match may slip away from Sri Lanka, by the time Murali starts operating.

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

From now on...Murali & Jayasuriya should bring the RR down and take wickets...

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Poor Captainship by Jayawardene.

he should have brought Murali early somewhere near 10th or 12th overs...thus could have prevented those runs, which Smith already scored easily.

this pitch has something for spinners like Murali.

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

At the present rate RSA can give 5 overs away!

I agree. This serving Smith with tee and coffee is not on. If the man can't take the heat, why did he not bring his own water on his back with him?

B.t.w. Is it allowed to have one's own watercan on your back - like cyclists do?

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has not taken the third Power Play....because Murali Operating?

Would be interesting to watch....

Btw...Smith tried to sweep Murali on this surface...stupid Smith!

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

who cares, its Cricket, its a gentlemen's game

if one player is suffering cramps then he should be allowed to take water breaks much like you would like to if u were in his place

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

gone Murli takes the wicket

smith out

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

LOL...

Logically thinking, Smith has liberty to keep a bottle handy somewhere near Umpire, if he is getting so much exhausted by thirst.

Time wasted by Batsmen backfires the bowling team..ICC rule sucks here as well :(

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

I said earlier stupid Smith!...and now he is gone....Smith needs some serious lessons of how to play a quality spinner!

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Dekha na...Murli nay lay lee...but it could be slightly late to bring him and Jayasuriya on...

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Was maybe a gentlemen's game before coaches got killed, maybe.

My contention is that if you start a match with a semi-fit batsman, you should not expect any mercy. Anyway, now Smith can drink to his heart contend, being out!

Kallis' strike rate much better than against Aussies.

Re: World Cup 2007 Super 8, Guyana: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Murali has full 48 balls left...so he can apply a Choke to RSA...let's hope Jayasuriya keeps it tight from other end.
