I'm really surprised that England won this one, now it looks a little tough for Argentines.

yes Nigeria was superb. Its their badluck that they are in such a tough group.
A draw would be enough for both Sweden and England to qualify. Argentina must win to ensure their place in the last 16 but a draw could be enough if England lose, though goal difference or goals scored would then become a factor. Nigeria are already eliminated.
half time between Nigeria and England, still nil for both teams. i don't think England needs a goal in order to pass to the next round, they probably would do with just 0-0.

well it’s official now: Nigeria 0 England 0 this was Nigeria’s last game, they head back to Africa to prepare for the African Chamionships i think. England moves on to the next round. This World Cup IS really of suprises. Although they’re eliminated, Nigerians should be proud that they held off England during their last group game.

Argentina was the better team but just couldn’t produce the relevant chances.
Therefore they are out!

they’re just making room for my favourite underdog, Ireland
actually i thought Sweden played well defensively at least in the first half (that’s all i’ve watched so far). Who’d have thought that US and South Africa would make it through to the 2nd round but not countries like Argentina and France?

No way that Belgium does qualify. And USA hope they don’t either.
All my hopes are with Italy and Senegal and or South KOrea and or Japan.
