World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

Let’s play a game. The way it works is that anyone who wants to play posts their idea for how to settle the Israel/Palestine conflict. I as Game Master (GM) will respond to each player’s post with a challenging scenario on how that idea plays out (because few things in geopolitics go according to plan), and the player then must reply by posting an idea on how to respond.

Rules:

  1. Each player’s participation must start with an answer to the question What actions would create a permanent resolution of the Israel/Palestine conflict?
  2. You cannot post an idea in response to another player’s game, ie you can’t jump into the middle of a game. You must start with answering the question above.

Short Example, using the actual course of the 1973 War.

Player: Defeat Israel through a large surprise attack from all sides
GM: Jordan doesn’t participate due to a secret agreement with Israel that you didn’t know about. Early advances in the north and south slow down as Israel creates defences and then counterattacks. A large part of Egypt’s army is cut off and in danger of being wiped out, while the Israeli army is 100km from Cairo and no Egpytian forces are position to stop them. A ceasefire offer is made.
Player Accept the ceasefire, war is lost.

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

Peaceful Solution Proposal:

Flood the Dead Sea with the Mediterranean!

brings a large body of water into the desert, will make the desert bloom, more food available to the locals, more jobs less fighting!

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

Consequence. Massive areas of land get ruined with no benefit since the Mediterranean is salt water, which cannot be used for agriculture. Tensions in the area get worse as the salty sea water pollutes the fresh groundwater leading to massive water shortages.

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

Promote religious harmony between Palestinians and Jews living outside the region, especially in USA, U.K, .and Canada. Promote interfaith marriages

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

mass scale marriages between the female Jews of Israel and male Arabs. the other way [Israeli men marrying Arab women after converting to Islam] will even be better solution. this will take care of ethnic/religious conflict away. :)

wishful/lust-full thinking? :D

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

No Land ruined if the Waters of the Mediterranean or the Red Sea are funneled into the Dead Sea area via an aqua-duct that drives Electric Generators and provides power for development to the locals.

Dead Sea Elevation is 1400 ft 9 inches below Sea Level, it will take years to fill up!, may take for ever if evaporation exceeds the fill rate!

and will generate over 31 Gigawatts of Electric Power from just 1 Ft rise in elevation over the time period of only one year!

so it may take 1400 years to fill if there is No evaporation!

You are a scientist right? figure it out if I am correct?

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

Israel has created a wall. Now Arabs create a wall too. Both ban each other. Matter resolved. Thank me later. :cobra:

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

^ And Mexico will pay for it

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

Nuke Tel-Aviv, Riyadh and Tehran.

Problem resolved.

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

A fence works both ways. Why would you need a second wall?

Re: World Affairs Forum Game: Israel/Palestine Solution

Problem is not Israel but Amreeka - cut the umbilical cord and see how long it survives.
