as in relationships. Acceptable or a big NO? Does it affect objectivity and productivity OR it adds extra incentive of emotional attachment with the workplace.

Well, that's a shot in the dark really. Depends upon ur priorities that's all.
But then, there's the break up... which as i have observed, sometimes leads to unpleasant office environment. Especially when the other gets picked by a colleague who's really the last in ur hi/hello list.

Xeno..Hmmmm… Coming from the professional work place background where Ive worked in a M/F environment, I feel that this would be a HUGE :nono:… your paid to perform, outcomes driven mentality which allows no room for any emotional /physical attachment;)…Ive heard of these situations happening…its quite alarming when you do…I feel that as a professional body- keep it that way- that way no one is at risk. No one will point the finger but more importantly your reputaation and integrity lies in tact- and if youre looking at career development- if you wanna aspire and succeed, dont be indiscreet with your personal, social affairs…

I have known people who have had blossoming and fruitful relationships with colleagues at work, where it has resulted in marriage etc, and the same which has resulted in law suits.
I personally think it’s a big no-no… you’re there to work, so keep your focus there.

I have seen many people having affair at work , getting married and getting fat afterward . They are all living happily ever after.
Since it is American South the divorce rate is not so high here.
