What in your opinion is the time needed for a perfect workout.. and how important is sweating in it?? what if you don’t sweat that much .. would that still be effective .. for lets say reducing your waist?
A perfect workout depends on what kind of results you want to see and varies from person to person. If you want to reduce your waist. It's important to do a lot of cardio in addition to crunches in various forms (regular, sideways, feet against the wall). Now, sweating is very important when doing cardio. The more you sweat, the more calories you burn, and the more effective your workout is. If you don't sweat, yes there is still some effect, but definately not as much. Hope that helps.

fret's advice is good...it's what i do and it's been working great so far. :)
There is no correlation between the amount of sweat and the intensity or caloric burn in your workout.

Chal, the more intense the workout, the faster the heart rate, the hotter the body becomes, and therefore it's natural cooling system kicks in (sweat). The harder one works out, the more calories they will burn, and as a result, they will sweat more. So it's quite obvious that when you're sweating, your body is working harder than when you're not sweating.

*Quite right. People don't sweat much during workouts in winters but they can still keep the weight off. It's all about the intensity of the workout. Really. People, That Is All.*
wanna lose weight then a cardio sessioon of 20 - 30 mins , 3 times a week will give quick results

Its very simple, calories in should equal calories out or they will start accumulating..... There are quite a few other ways e.g. Dr. Atkins diet eat all you want and still lose weight I tried that and it works but it has side effects. I'd say a balanced diet and 3 times workout a week with burning of 500 to 600 calories/week would keep you in shape.

It is due to the intesity not the sweat Fret that helps you burn calories. Sweat is a mechanism for cooling. Try running in -20 degrees and in 88 degrees, for 20 minutes. tell me where would you lose most calories.

Of course sweat doesnt' determine how many calories one loses. The more intense the workout, the more a person sweats. When a person sweats, it is an indication that the workout is more intense as compared to a person who isn't sweating while working out. A person running in -20 degrees does indeed sweat as well.
Fine fret..you can run for twenty minutes and I can swim for an hour. Who would lose more calories.

You would because swimming is much more effective than running. And yes, you do sweat underwater while swimming.
