so who here does a daily workout? n i mean a gruelling, sweating-like-a-pig, cant breathe, muscles cramping kind of a workout?
What workout regime do you follow, if any? Are you watching your diet along with it?
I do the ‘Insanity’ workout and trying to follow along with their diet plan but man is it hard or what?!
any one here also working with insanity? or p90x?
first of all i don't know what the "insanity" work out is...
But yeah i do daily 1 hour rpm classes, which is about 60km's of cycling uphill and racing.. that is a muscle-cramping, 'can't breathe' workout.
But i do take Thursday's off, as there is no class for me to attend on thursday. Friday's are zumba and then Saturday and Sunday 2 hours each of RPM and body balance.
I'm no expert, but aren't you supposed to give your muscles time to heal otherwise you'll just burn yourself out? That's what i've heard, correct me if i'm wrong
KS09, you are right, muscles do need time to recuperate or you just break down muscle tissue...Working out moderately will give you long lasting benfits and you will see the difference in weight as well...the key is being regular and maintaining a schedule...
My gruelling workout is a boot camp circuit training. I havent heard of "insanity" or "p90x"...are those videos you are following?
oh is rpm like a stationary bike workout? i do that at the gym too...its called spinning here though. zumba is fun! esp power zumba, my instructor has a hiphop background so she makes it so much fun! love itt. and yupp u shud take one or two days off depending on how and what kind of workouts you do. i usually take one day off from harder workouts and do recovery workouts, like swimming, not hardcore or anything just giving muscles relaxation...or like balance training, yoga or sumthing.
being desi i duno if you have the same issue but there are days when u have guests over or something or another keeps you away from working out. so i take those freebies too hehe.
insanity and p90x are workout programs you can buy... and yeah its a video u follow. they are soo freaking insane its crazy. but u do end up sweating a gallon or two by the end. so its a feel good workout towards the end. and it has amazing results. a friend of mine was overweight and his fiance is this fit thing and they both did it together, the guy ended up losing 30 lbs in 60 days and the girl was toned as heck without lookin manly. giving it a try, lets see how it goes :)
rpm is studio cycling. ha ha and yes being desi i do have those issues of dawaats and guests! and you can't give guests fruit, has to be samosa's pakora's etc and thick full cream millky chai!
When i first started i think i did too much and had too many unrealistic goals. I totally burnt myself out and was hurting to much to go after 3 weeks. So this time when i joined up i made realistic goals, i didn't weigh or measure myself, i thought i'd let my clothing do the talking ( ie, they become loose) and just eat healthy and whatever i want and not deprive myself of anything.
I do work out everyother day cause of work i go to gym pretty late and that messes up a bit my sleeping pattern. I started high intensity interval running few days back don't think can do it every day also still tying to figure out what suites me best like I do 10 mins warm up speed 5-6 then run at speed 11 for 1 min then slow down to 6 for 2 mins i am going to start using eliptical because i started to feel discomfort in my knees.
Normally i do hiit with lower body, back, abs and then rest day and then chest, bicep, triceps, shoulders.
heard of p90x want to try out the abs one anyone tried it? does it help burn more fat?
I go to the gym every other day and their my daily routine is to do a 10 minute warm up then a cardio of 60 minutes, 30 minutes of muscle training which I change occasionally to bring in variety and then 30 minutes of stretching. Have been doing it for past 4 years and I have got so much use to the regime that I feel suicidal if I skip it
