People here get all riled up because they always seem to think whatever they are doing, i.e. working and raising kids, or staying home and raising kids is right. Let go of your personal selves (along with your chachiz, mamiz, tayi examples for a bit)…

It doesnt make you any less of a human being if you cannot devote the same time to your kids as a full time stay home mom, we all have our ‘majbooris’ but its kinda silly to deny you’d be on par with them when it comes to raising the kids because you wont have as much time with the kids, simple. Still some full time working moms pull it off at times, there are exceptions.

Remember, raising kids is a full time job too, possibly tougher than being an engineer, lawyer or a doctor at times. Again, both categories deserve respect. If a mother is working full time away from her children, it takes alot of heart and handling the two things simultaneously is quite a challenge. Most of the time she needs to support the family financially so she has no choice to begin with.

I understand what you are saying, but do consider that having a working mom can add a lot tothe family. There is a sense of pride in her work ethic and accomplishments, she is a role model as a nurturer and also at other skills, she is capable and reliable in a variety of ways. It’s not all about everyone giving the same amount of time.

Also, what do you tell your daughters,when you raise em. Hat are you teacing them to be? What dress are you creating for them? What is te point of themhaving a nurturing mom that cultivates their talents, if those talents are not allowed to be used?
