I identify the effects on overnight hospitalizations, asthma episodes, and injuries/poisonings for children ages 7-17. .

Lusi kids go to school (First Grade) at the age of 5 or 6. Not 3 or 4.

kindergarten is 5, pre school is 4, 1st grade is 7.

It becomes extremely hard for the kids to adjust in the kindergarten program if they have never been to any pre school environment/play groups, etc.

Bibi jee, its the National Institute of Health, and you cant even say they’re biased because if they were, you’d expect a western source to be skewed to the other direction. Think about it, it’s obvious that if a none of the parents are around to spend the most important time in a child’s upbringing at home, the child is at the mercy of whoever is in charge.

The article/research states that the chances of accidents in children aged 7-17 are more for where mothers are working and I think it is probably because children this age go back home after school even if there is no one at home.

In the abstract author identified overnight hospitalizations, asthma attacks and injuries etc in kids aged 7-17 increases with maternal employment which is not what is being discussed here. and I do not see how my work would increase these events once my kid is 7 or older.

seriously people? is sarad the only one who read the 5 lines of the abstract ad noted that it has to do with kids 7-17? I am not suite sure how preschool formative years become part of the discussion.

you guys want to pore over details of NIH study..here you go but please read it… now this will give a lot of ammo to all of you guys to fight over. But realize that demographic factors especially income and single parent vs both parents are a huge factor, so is understanding that non maternal care can be a good day care, a bad day care a charity day care, a grand ma..whatever.
