If Allah (swt) gives me another chance to go back to my childhood days and choose whatever I like, I would still not want better food, furniture, facilities..etc. that is contributed by her salary, but MORE and MORE of the moments of “Maa’n ki t’handi chao’n” even if that means less facilities and ordinary food…etc. Her every single advice that I recall is more valuable to me than all the teachings of the rest of the people in my life.

I think every child feels the same way about their own “Maa’n ki t’handi chao’n” and the time spent with their own mom whether they were working or not. just like you - I cherish every thing that mom taught me but I am especially proud of her work ethic and the impact her career had on the medical conditions for women living in rural areas in Pakistan. She taught us to be hardworking, brave, compasionate and positive. There is no price tag associated with that. A mother’s warmth for her child doesn’t diminish because she is working.
