(1) Whether or not rural women have better management skills than urban women?
Well in my opinion you’ve mentioned that rural women basically take care of the house and children and daily chores… whereas the rural women goes out and works…from alot of women i knw they do both, they go to work and manage home and children, so they manage .

My point was rural women are also involved in helping their husbands / brothers at the stage of crop harvest. yes, I know urban women who manage both sides, but its very difficult for them where don’t have support that is available to rural women due to joint family system.

(2) Whether urban women make themselves overburdened by opting to be working women?
We are in the 21st centuary so both men and women need to work to bring up a family. Its not a choice its a must… or you have the governement on ur backs to get a job…

Agree, nowadays both men and women have to work to make both ends meet. Rural women have been helping hand to the men since cenuries. If you ever visited rural Sindh and Punjab, you can observe women working in cotton fields having children with them (attached to their backs through a chaadar). Working women in urban (especially in South Asia) is comparatively a new phenomon and not too old in European countries. Point is rural women, who is considered not contributing towards economy is a myth.

(3) Whether or not Joint family system is a blessing or need of our society?
Joint family system doesn’t work in this day and age, even if the elders work at it the children don’t like it and it goes down the drain as they start getting older

Why younger generation doesn’t like to be part of joint family?
