Re: Working women
Yes I have a job as a nanny/housekeeper/cleaning lady and cook, 24/7, so I wear clothes ranging from t shirts to night clothes :@:
Re: Working women
In my last job which was office based - suit and tie with Converse footwear. ![]()
The jobs before that - casual and the uniform they provided.
Re: Working women
In my last job, I had to wear casual (not jeans/t shirt though) clothing unless there was a media event.
Re: Working women
Usually, tailored trousers with a sweater set or blouse. I layer because it is so cold in the offices - so I almost always have a cardigan or a pashmina with me. If there’s a meeting with senior management or one of the client groups or external groups, I’ll wear a business suit (or if I’m too lazy to think about what to wear or iron my clothes), I’ll also show up in a business suit.
I love casual Fridays. I pay for the privilege of dressing down in jeans and I probably spend more time and effort planning my Friday outfit. I HATE it when they schedule a meeting on a Friday and I can’t wear jeans :pcg:

Re: Working women
just finished with classes so looking towards IT support/helpdesk type of jobs, i'm guessing it's it formal pants, blouses and skirts, business casual...........we'll see when i get it
Re: Working women
Strictly business wear in my office, everybody has to look professional at all times. The only times we're allowed to have a dress down day is when there is a charity event on (for e.g. children in need)
Re: Working women
I haven't wore a proper business suit in ages.
Winter/Fall Wear: Business Casual mostly. Nice tailored pants (black and grays) - I can even do tailored capri pants, a nice blouse and silk scarf.
Spring/Summer Wear: Pencil skits, dresses with nice carigan or summer jacket, minimal accesories.
Work from home wear: Jammies and hubby's worn out t-shirt and usually some sort of food particles in my hair. But I sound very professional :)
Re: Working women
These days… maternity tops with maternity pants ![]()
The dress code at my office is business casual, except on Fridays when we get to wear jeans ![]()
Re: Working women
casual chic shalwar kamiz... mostly long shrts and trousers
Re: Working women
I have had to wear professionally tailored suits all through my career , with some jobs letting us enjoy a dress down day on Fridays … I have a very very strong wish to work in a business casual environment :hinna: … I never got to show off my lovely tops and trousers … Most fridays I couldnt do dress down , coz I would end up with a meeting and prefered not to look casual :hinna:
I also have a love for uniform
… Most people loathe it , but I love the idea of having a uniform .. it means no morning confusion , you already know what you are wearing the next day and the days after ![]()
