Generally, there are no rigid requirements about dress code for teachers…especially in public school. And most I’ve seen dress casually…a few I’ve seen will take it to the extreme and look “bum’ish” with shorts and baggy tees, lol. I vowed to myself I’d never be the kind of teacher that wears them denim overalls with the alphabet embroidered on them in rainbow thread and with a snowman brooch during the winter and jack-o-lantern earrings for Halloween, I wear my dress pants with fitted collar shirts…or a blouse…or a nice tunic/cami with a cardigan. I like shopping at New York & Company…I think they have good variety when it comes to professional wear and at a lower price.

Yup, that’s pretty much how everyone at my school dresses too…we have a casual school tshirt/ jeans day once a week…NY&CO is great for work clothes!!!
