Chandbeti come back home and everything will be forgiven and forgotten.

you go back to laying on your couch and wait for the hot meal your wife is preparing after a hard days work because that is what she is there for..

COMPROMISE

Faisal Bhai,

Pata nahin kiyun aisa laag raha hain, ke woh joke nahin hakeeqat hain.

Well, I'm pretty late in the game at this point, but there was much discussion about "her" income and "his" income" - that isnt how it works after marriage!

I worked and earned 50% of our income till we had babies. Then my job became home and hearth. This is something that we both felt strongly about - that we wanted a Mom at home for our boys (not that this is the answer for everyone!) Anyway, I work just as hard at my job as my husband does at his! And my job is 24 hrs, 7 days a week, no paycheck, no benefits, no vacations! :) Actually, my life would be easier and less stressful if I went to work and left the boys at daycare and hired some help for around the house!!

Anyway, there is no concept in our marriage of "his" or "her" money...WE have a bank account. And thats it....we buy what we need and sometimes have extra for things we want. Thats how it should be when there is only one breadwinner. The stay at home partner is filling just as important a role in the marriage. Thinking that stay-at home moms sit on the couch eating bonbons and watching soaps till the husband gets home for wifey to "wait on" him is just utterly amusing!
