yeah a nuritional shake is mostly recommended. I hope to follow some sort of work out schedule during Ramadan.

Re: Working out in Ramzaan
A fitness instructor, who also happens to be Muslim, advised me to have a nutritional shake for sehri every morning. It will help keep me full through out the day as well as give my body the vitamins and nutrition that it needs. When I do eat for iftar, my body won’t think it is starving, and therefore, will not store whatever I eat as ‘fat’ cause I will have had the nutrition shake in the morning supplementing my body with the good stuff … this is all that the fitness instructor told me. That is my plan for this Ramadan. Have one shake with a banana or some other fruit with lots of water.
Re: Working out in Ramzaan
Yoga every morning after Fajar-Salaah/Tilaawah and a jog after Isha-Salaah will do me just fine, no weights in Ramdhwaan. ![]()

Abs, Abs, Abs!!

Re: Working out in Ramzaan
I think ‘boxers abs’ are the most fun ab exercise to do. You can feel it in your obliques for days afterwards. :halo:

Re: Working out in Ramzaan
You start off in the crunch position, knees bent, feet on the ground. Your hands are in fists by your face. You crunch up even more and punch your left arm outside of your right knee and then bring your fist back to your face as you go back down ... punch hard and to the point of your knee or just past it and then do the same with the right arm outside of the left knee. Keep your body stable and you will feel it in your obliques. Do each side 10 times or more. Happy punching. :)
Re: Working out in Ramzaan
AFter iftaar adn tarawiyah you're free and allowed to drink. I have no trouble excersizing then. I started again yesterday. I promised myself to excersize regularly for at least half an hour a day from now on. :)
Re: Working out in Ramzaan

Re: Working out in Ramzaan
Bro, I know what you mean. I love lifting weights and building muscle. So for Ramzan, I will not be going to the gym because I won't be energized and will not be getting enough protein/calories in my diet. I'm just going to do pushups at home after Iftar.
