begum is a fulltime teacher, and one who finished her masters while raising two kids and working fulltime, she is a rock star. Currently she is seriously evaluating going for a second masters in child psychology and moving in that field.
sister is a doc, mom is a retired teacher, phuppis include a doc, a scientist and a professor all retired now. Majority of girl cousins from my dad's side work and have a pretty good representation of teachers, doctors, lawyers, MBAs and CPAs, some took time off when kids were small, some have their own businesses. majority of girl cousins from mom's side are a polar opposite, they have degrees but dont work, but most of them are in Pakistan or middle east, versus dad's side which is mostly in US, Canada and UK. khalas and mumanis are in contrast with my phuppis and chachis as well, but then it may be a function of being in Pakistan and Middle east, never asked.
