What is it like working in the middle east? I’m thinking of applying for some teaching posts in a year’s time. I want to know about the general stuff e.g. what the living is like, salaries and working with the arabs - their attitude towards pakistani people etc

Please share your experiences.

i think middle east varies quite a bit in terms of conditions and people's attitudes, there is world of difference between KSA, Qatar, UAE and Yemen.

i am in uae.. i am an arab...
uh.. i dont know bout the salaries.. tho.
we treat pakistanis and ppl of other nationalities in a proper way. :s

I visited Dubai last August. I can't think of any specific questions to ask at the moment, i'll post as I remember

nope, my knowledge of the middle east is dated I lived there as a kid, the rest of my information is second hand gathered thru discussions with freinds and family working in middle east.

UAE seems to be a pretty good place, but then desis outnumber the locals by a large margin. I am not too sure about KSA and Kuwait based on people’s attitudes there in general.
