i am a student of biomedical engineering technology in USA and i really want to work in Pakistan. does anyone know if there are good job opportunities available in Pakistan.
Here in America it is a very high paying job. but i am not sure if it is the case in Pakistan also. i emailed few hospital to inquire about my question, but none of them have replied yet.
can any one of you answer my question or tell me who i should contact to get the answer.

I would suggest calling instead of emailing them. Talk to someone, ask them who to contact...get names and numbers of those people. Is there a certain city that you would like to work in.
We have someone in our family that works as a Dean in one of the hospitals /college in Lahore, I will find out if he still works there or not.(He may be a good source to find information from)

i am interested working in karachi because my family lives there.
how do i call them? just call the hospital and inquire about the job availabilities or call their HR department? do they even have HR department in Pakistan?
also one more question, everyone i tried to look online for a job, they ask for at least 5 years of job exp. which i think ist really stupid, Biomedical engineering technology has just been introduced and hardly anyone have a 5 years of job experience.
is that mean i can't get a job unless i have experience, or they sometimes bend their own rules??
i am sorry that a lot of question, but i have been living in USA for last 11 years and i don't know anything about job search in pakistan.

Happy to see that you work for Pakistan otherwise doctors/traitors and other who once run never return back to serve thier country.Pakisan best brains are now at SSE,LUMS, why you not try there Yanzala,few top Pakistani biomedical scientists are there .Pay rates are also amazing.Plus NED,NUST,SZABIST also have biomedical engineering departments but SSE,LUMS is today best for its Research oriented faculty and standadrd.

i thought lums is a university, do they also have hospitals like agha khan hospital and university? or are you referring me to those colleges as a teaching job?
In america we have two different programs, one is biomedical Engineering, and other is Biomedical Engineering Technology. just engineering is more research and creating the machinery for hospital use. Biomedical engineering Technology is maintaining that machinary because doctors and nurses don't really know to use it. but few of the job i saw in pakistan in BMET, they are calling it Biomedical Engineering, but they are requesting a work of Biomedical Engineering Technology.
i am sorry if u are confused from all those questions, ofcourse you will have no interest in it unless u are styding it :p
But trust me, i am desperate to go back home, and i just don't know what else to do to find a job. i don't even know how people look for a job in pakistan, it's always the news paper ad in the dramas, but i am sure there must be better ways.

LUMS SSE is basically academic reserach position but dont have hospital .One girl scientist is from Reserach Lab in Shaukat Khanum Cancer Lab .
