I had once offer from Environment Canada and from IBM. I picked IBM for more chances to learn and stuff.

Yes, very important question. Still, generally speaking I would vote for private. I hate to work in Govt cuz most of the times it makes you lethargic and you start counting it all what you get. There is no healthy competition so people dont give their 100 %
