Is working as a trainee count as a work experience for an mba?
remember when you are a trainee you have no real job responsibility. you just watch and learn things rather then doing them yourself. while most of the mba schools require that you must have had a distinct role in your org where you have made some achievements, shown extra leadership potential and managerial ability while performing your tasks.
Currently I am working as a trainee but after one year I will become a permanent employee. Now after two years where will I stand? Will I be having One or two years of work experience???
Irfan, buddy, experience never goes wasted. No, its not proper job experience, but it is better than not having any experience whatsoever.
If you, being an MBA, have one year experience as a trainee, you have a definite edge over another MBA with no practical experience. As a trainee you learn the basics i.e. the ethics of working in a professional environment. After two years, you will have one year training and one year of professional experience Inshallah.
Keep struggling, I wish you a very fruitful and successful career.
